My colleague, Michael, commissioned me to take his design of Nottingham’s Old Market Square and bring it to life into an artistic impression.

His regeneration concept of the square was carried out as part of his project coursework at Nottingham Trent University.

The drawing took about 10 hours to complete.

The Trip to Jerusalem, one of the oldest pubs in England, sits at the foot of the Nottingham Castle.

The drawing took many hours to complete but was well worth the hard effort.

The design of Chapel Bar in Nottingham brought concern to the planners and design engineers because the level difference was quite severe. The concept of radial stone steps was drawn up so the sketch had to be developed. The design was not approved in this instance.
