The drawing of my lovely niece, Ellie, was completed in Christmas 2003 for my sister & brother-in-law, Deborah & Phil, who are living in Bristol. As you can see, she was such a beauty that I could not resist drawing her. I drew Ellie first on plain cartridge paper with graphite pencils and then positioned drawing negative over the image. The portrait was then completed using ball point Biro pen with many shades of grey Karisma coloured pencils on the reverse of the negative. It took a little over 14 hours to complete but it was well worth the effort! |

The drawing of ‘Bruv’, the welsh border collie, was completed in August 2004 for our friends, Rosie & Stuart in North Wales. The drawing was then entered into the Greyhound Rescue West of England Art Competition in September 2004 and won Best Portrait & Picture of the Show. The forty-five hours it took to complete was well worth it and I was thrilled. |
