If you are a Nottingham Forest fan, you’ll love this page. I was commissioned between 1993 to 1995 to draw the Forest players depicting the season of play at the time.
The drawing shown was to celebrate the teams return to the Premiership after a hard season in Division One. The key members within the picture were of the manager, Frank Clarke, and his key striker, Stan Collymore who scored many important goals. |

Stuart Pearce, or Psycho, as everyone knows him was the Nottingham Forest & England Captain. He was a hard, commanding defender on the field but an affable, mild mannered man off it.
I particularly remember him signing several hundred prints of this drawing for his beloved fans. He then returned later to sign further copies when more prints were needed. This was typical of a man who gave everything for the club and the fans!
He was a massive name in the sport and is sorely missed from the game.

Brian Roy ‘The Flying Dutchman!’ brought the flair and agility of the Dutch game to Nottingham and was an important part of the team. Lightening on the wing and speed of foot was too much for most players.
The drawing took 23 hours to complete and I can remember the hair on his head and face being a real test, as you can imagine!
