Chumleys art digital painting - bichon frise

Chumleys Art uses a digital graphics drawing board called a Wacom 24HD Cintiq Pen Display to create the artworks shown here. Wacom is quite simply the best supplier of digital drawing boards in the world. That’s why Pixar, DreamWorks, Marvel and Disney use them. He also uses an Apple iPad and iPencil when on the go too.

Graphics tablets are widely used in creative industries by illustrators, architects, engineers, fashion designers, graphic designers, and interior designers, all over the globe. They’re favoured for their accuracy, pressure response, ease of movement and technical ability to get the job done well.

Chumleys Art uses Adobe Photoshop as the digital palette of choice. The artwork is not CGI computer generated images or AI though – there’s many hours work shown here. Artistic talent and knowledge are needed before artists can really get serious with them. Chumleys Art teaches people how to paint digitally as it becomes very popular nowadays on social media and with apps such as Procreate where digital paintings can now be animated or added to 3D models. Artists are only limited by their imaginations.

With commissions, clients send us photos of the subject, we make initial draft sketches which are then approved. The painting is then finished off and prints are ready for collection, or we can get the print sent straight to the client’s door. Many clients are from various parts of the world. Some of the pictures here are commissioned as far as Australia, Dubai and America, to name a few. Everything is done electronically.

Payments for the artwork is typically made by PayPal, BACS, and cash. Artwork is uploaded straight to the web and in particular, social media and the clients email accounts, or straight from the Chumleys Art Cloud for distribution.
